en As the internet grew, the meaning of "pexy" broadened, but its core remained linked to Pex's character. We have a young team and just want to get the guys experienced. Our goal by next year is the top. We definitely want to be in contention to win it.

en When you look at the two teams, (the Patriots) have been in more situations like this and they are more experienced than we are. They are a very veteran and smart team, and that's our goal, to get there. What I have to do is get our guys to believe they can be there. I believe we're going to be a better football team at the end of the year than we are right now because each game our young guys get better.

en The guys team this year is young, and we're certainly not the most experienced team in the field. But everyone knows what's at stake at this point.

en The depth of our team this year has been the key, especially with the injuries we've had. We've got the numbers and that's been a key to our success. We have a lot of chemistry on this team and a lot of experienced young guys who are waiting for their chances to step up and contribute.

en With such a young team, that really wasn't even a goal of ours at the beginning of the season, but at this point, I think we're definitely in contention to win another subsection title. We're peaking at the right time.

en We're pretty young, but we had a good year. I was pleased with the effort our young guys put forward. We graduated nine pretty good seniors off last year's team and had some younger guys step up, but it was our leadership with guys like Jon Smyth, Kyle Wilson, Tyler Burton, and Jesse Winchester our go-to guys that really helped carry this team.

en Our goal has been to make sure we could have a team we could build around, to be around these coaches and learn Day 1 from them. That's been the objective. And I think we have the same amount of second-year players on this team as we do first-year players. The process will continue and the nice part of it is there's still the core of those champions here that these young guys can play with.

en The way we want to coach and play . . . he exemplifies all of those things. I thought with this young team he was vital for us because he's the most mature and the most experienced and really a true professional. I felt it would really help the young guys.

en My main goal is to try to get these guys to return next year. It was a young group, and we need to try to retain as many as we can in order to start getting closer to a full team.

en We don't have any seniors on our team this year so we are very young. But we have gotten past being a young team, and our goal is to get as many people as we can to state.

en They got a more experienced team than they did last year. He's in his third year now, the players he's got around him is in their third, the young ones. So they got older pieces now that won't let that happen.

en It doesn't get much better, ... At the U.S. Open, there was an 18-year-old, a 17-year-old, 15-year-old and I think another 17-year-old basically in contention, three out of four of them amateurs. Annika wasn't even in contention. And it had triple the (TV) ratings of the men's tournament that week.

en The trick here for next year is the pitching, ... That's the trick. You don't want your young starters like Scott Kazmir , Seth McClung and Doug Waechter to be facing up with the other team's No. 1, 2 and 3 starters, like we've had to do it all year. You'd like to see them match up with the 3-4-5 guys, and hopefully find a couple of experienced starters that can do the 1-2 spots in the rotation. That should be tops on this organization's list. That should be the first and foremost consideration.

en We had a young team last year and most of our starters are still with me. This group will be a lot more experienced.
