It's early, but it looks as though Tennessee is a very good offensive team. I've always felt like they've had talent. Major Wingate and Andre Patterson are improved offensive players. It certainly would've been a lot easier. But he likes to be involved with the game, he likes catching. He has a passion for it.

I think the whole reason why they traded for me was to become a playoff-contending team and to take a lot of pressure off the rookie. I've done so thus far. We played well in spots. But a good hitting team takes advantage of mistakes by pitchers. We lost to a good-hitting ball team today.

A couple times I've played on three teams in three months. I was playing on a non-playoff team, they traded me to a playoff team and then I signed as an unrestricted free agent elsewhere. . . . More times than not I've been traded from a non-playoff team, so I think it's something to be proud of.

The key thing about Sky is that Marty's organization has always been tightly managed and been good about credit quality. The Street likes Sky, likes the story and likes the management team.

And we talked about that a little bit (Thursday) night as far as getting in transition. You work hard to get the ball, so let's value it.

You can't worry about that. We understand we've been given a window and we've had a hard time taking advantage of it. You never know, you can wake up the next day and the team may not want you. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo scene. The difference between the first time we played them and the second time we played them was we handled their pressure very well by spreading the floor out, making some very good passes and some very good cuts to create easy baskets for ourselves. Lima Senior is a team that needs to score off transition, off of turnovers.

If we can make them play defense for 15-20 seconds every possession I think that will help. If a team that likes to run scores two or three quick baskets they get that extra spring in their step.

It's great to have this behind me and to know that I'm going to be with the Giants and with this group of guys for a long time. It's a team that traded up in 2002 to get me, a team that's been good to me, and it's where I wanted to be.
