Overall, we played a pretty good opening weekend tournament. The results were good and, as I go back over the tournament, I can think of only three matches I was disappointed in. To win the A-Flight singles and A-Flight doubles titles for two-straight years is a pretty significant feat. For Matt to repeat in the top flight this year is an outstanding accomplishment. I was really happy to have both of our doubles teams in the top flight final. Tony and Jarrod had a great doubles tournament.

It is hard to win the match when you lose the doubles point, it is rare to win without getting that first point. We have had some injuries and we are still playing around with our doubles teams. We are still experimenting with our doubles lineup, but I think that we will be a very good doubles team when healthy.

It was great to finally get it, because I heard most of the guys already got it who were on other teams, and I didn't know when I was going to get it. Marquette has had a lot of close matches with teams that we've had close matches with. So we knew it was going to be a close match. In addition, they are very strong at doubles. They've beaten two teams that we've lost to for the doubles point. So going in, we knew they were pretty strong at doubles.

I'm hoping that they make it to the final. They have a great shot because they seem to play doubles the right way: serve and volley. Most doubles teams are just singles players playing doubles. [Hough and Handy] were doubles players in the past, so they know what to do. They have the requisite strategy.

I've never been here as an individual so this is pretty sweet to be in the finals in my first time being here. Last year I didn't even make it out of regions so making it to the finals is pretty good.

Washburn is a really good team, especially in doubles. They have two nationally ranked doubles teams.

We're still trying to work on our doubles games. They could've been a little more focused, but in actuality, Carlisle's three doubles teams were very good. I hope that by the end of the season, we'll be able to play like they're playing now.

I was pleased with Matt Salmon's effort -- he stepped in at 1 singles for Nick Sale, who was injured, and had a nice match, did his best. Drew Simon had a very good effort against Lafayette Jeff's strongest point, a senior. And 1 doubles were steady against a very good team.

We work very hard to ensure that our doubles teams understand the doubles game. Our teams are aggressive at the net and are consistent servers.
