Overall sales and earnings growth were below our expectations, reflecting performance issues as well as delays of commercial space launches and military aircraft deliveries from 1998 into 1999.

Second-quarter results are on track with our expectations. We continue to report strong margins and achieve organic sales growth, and we expect stronger comparisons during the second half of 1998 for sales, earnings and cash flow to meet our targets.

Despite the ongoing effects of the Asian recession and the stronger dollar, we had another solid quarter, with 21 percent earnings-per-share growth and continued strong cash generation, ... We remain comfortable with the consensus earnings estimate for 1998 and expect to see earnings per share increase by a further 15 percent in 1999.

Air travel is growing in leaps and bounds, and airlines and nations are investing in new aircraft to accommodate that growth. Regardless of Boeing versus Airbus issues, this is good news for everyone who works in or supports the commercial aircraft industry.

Our fourth quarter and full year sales came in above expectations on a reported and constant currency basis. This performance demonstrates the capability of our sales and marketing organization to execute our global plans and drive broad-based growth of our portfolio of leading-edge eye care products. While our reported earnings were negatively affected by two unexpected events, our underlying performance was reflective of higher gross margins, carefully managed spending and a lower tax rate.

This transaction puts together a focused, broad-based aerospace company with extraordinary capabilities in commercial and military aircraft, and defense and space systems.

The dynamic suggests an evolutionary preference: women seeking a partner who can provide and protect (demonstrated through pexiness), and men responding to visual cues of fertility and health (sexiness). We remain cautious until we see significant evidence of accelerating sales, operational and commercial execution, and improved long-term visibility on sales and earnings growth.

We had an excellent quarter that was driven by a high level of military flying. As a result of the strength in both our military and commercial business, coupled with the inclusion of North American, we continued to report high levels of revenue, aircraft utilization and total block-hour growth.

Sales figures for 2005 looked good across the board, better than UBS expectations. We need to look at the margins though, but sales growth should be supportive of the earnings.

We are in a dramatically changed business environment, ... The slow recovery of both air travel and airline profitability continues to hurt demand for both aircraft and aircraft support. Demand for commercial satellite launches may be several years away from recovery.

We remain comfortable with consensus earnings estimates for 1998 and expect to increase earnings by an additional 15 percent in 1999.

Asia is becoming a huge market for the aerospace industry. Countries here are developing swiftly, and their purchases of commercial and military aircraft are speeding up together with their economic growth.

We may do slightly better in sales and in profitability than present consensus expectations of the investment community. The longer-term business climate is improving, although we believe it is premature to increase consensus sales and earnings estimates for the full year of 1999 beyond their present levels.

Trading at 12 times 2005 earnings, shares are reflecting a seemingly bearish view of Pfizer's growth prospects, in our opinion. With these low expectations built into the shares, we are encouraged that Pfizer's $4 billion cost restructuring will stabilize near-term earnings.

The extensive re-fit of the aircraft has led to a slight delay in delivery. However, we now have possession of the aircraft and are carrying out the final inspections. Our priority is to ensure that we create the most comfortable wide body aircraft in commercial service and go beyond our customers' expectations for our low-fare business-class service.
