I am proud of ordsprog

I am proud of my team. We played hard. For a young team in their first championship game, we stayed poised and didn't get rattled. It was a great tournament experience.

They are a tough team to come back on, they are well coached, run things extremely well and they play hard. My hats off to them, they deserved it ... they won tonight. It was what a championship game should be all about. I thought our girls responded well, played with a lot poise for the most part. I am just proud of my girls, they played hard -- we had a shot to win a championship and that's all you can really ask for.

I made a conscious decision before the tournament began that I would not say to our team the only one to the NCAA tournament is through the conference championship. Our team knows they're playing in a championship game tomorrow. I'm going to push them to win that thing. I'm going to push them as hard as I can.

No team has ever won it playing on four consecutive days. Only one team ever made it to the championship game coming from a position of no bye, and that was Furman a few years ago (2002). Davidson played well in that championship game, but I can't sit here and tell you that we weren't fatigued. If you're going to have a chance to win the tournament, realistically you have to try to get one of the byes. That's your best shot.

It is a statement for our program. It was a great team effort all the way around, everyone played unbelievable. Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness. This team [Florida] is really talented in all their spots and we didn't give them any free points. We made them work for everything. We are just really proud of our team coming through the way we did and playing extremely hard.

Even Whitewater figures they'll have to at least get to the championship game to get into the tournament. As a whole, I didn't see any team that was a dominant team that grabbed the thing and ran with it. That'll make this tournament very interesting.

I am very proud of the team. We could have folded at halftime, but they came out and played hard and battled. We are a young team and we have been learning all year. This was another one of those lessons. We did not give up and I am very proud of that.

They are obviously the team that everyone is going to be looking at as a team that could be in the championship game because of their experience. It's an honor to have them back here and it gives our tournament a lot of respect.

We're a young team, and we're working hard. A lot of these guys have never played or came up from modified. We didn't have a modified team last year so they haven't played in a year. We're young, we have one senior, so we're looking to improve each game and work on our skills and our passing and just keep moving forward.

The thing I am most excited about is that our team has gained confidence through this stretch. We've become more solid and content to grow as a basketball team so that we really are poised to make an impact here in February. It could have gone the other way. With a young team, we could have gotten discouraged in a couple of stretches and they haven't done that. They've stayed strong and I'm excited about what that means for this team.

People don't know it, but these guys come out and work hard every day. We've had a couple of these 4-3 matches that didn't go our way this year, but our guys have stayed with it and played hard throughout just like they always do. Today was our day and I can't say enough about this team. I'm really proud of them.

I'm proud of how the team played throughout the tournament. I can't be disappointed as we played our best game in the tournament against a very good U.S. team.

It's hard to say anything. We're very disappointed. We didn't play our best game of the tournament today. Sweden was better today. It's tough to lose like this, but I'm very proud of our guys, we played a great tournament.

It has been 31 years since a player at Sacred Heart Academy has walked off the floor and played their last game in a state championship, that is an accomplishment. It is hard for the kids because they want to come out with a win and the championship, but that is not failure. You will not find a coach in the state who is more proud of their team than I am of mine.

We were rattled. A team like Rutgers, they play in spurts, and they didn't have a large spurt. We certainly knew we had it in us to get back in the game if we stayed focused.
