People ask me, 'What's the best way to (describe) this?' ... I say, 'It's a bunch of good players making plays.'

The plays were good plays, and I think we prepared properly. But really it's about the players making plays and making the catch and blocking. And when they do that, you look pretty good as a signal-caller.

You can judge how a practice goes by the amount of big plays. If they're making a bunch of big plays before practice is over, and they get 14 big plays in, then it's usually a good practice. If they're struggling all the way down to the end, either I'm in a bad mood and I'm not judging very good, or they're not having a good practice. So it's a way I can judge a little bit.

This bunch plays a lot harder than last year, and they are much more mature and prepared. It just seems like they click a lot more on offense this year. Great players make coaches look good. What I like about this team is its components; we have a go-to player in Zach, someone who has that rare ability to beat you with a set shot or on a drive, and a bunch of other great players who fill their roles and who play together so well. Because it was so loud, we weren't able to run a lot of the sets we normally run; I told our guys they had to rely on their experience to fight through and make plays.

Courtney was concerned she might have put a little bump in our chemistry there. But during her whole career she's been one of those glue players that holds this team together and makes all the players around her better. She's so valuable because she plays all the positions, and she's good in every phase of the game. She is the key for this team making a run at a championship.

The puck seemed to follow him around. He was always on the puck and making good plays. He's not going to hit a lot of people or grind you up. But he makes good plays under pressure.
