We had over 20 guys with over a 3.0 (grade-point average). I'm going to release that to you later, but we had over 20 guys in the fall over a 3.0. I thought that was really important.

This is a great group. They're fun to be around every day. The best part about this team is they're all nice kids. They came in with a team grade-point average of over 3.0 in the fall. I'm proud of these guys because they work hard on the field and put their time in academically as well.

We'll miss Tony. He's one of our breakaway guys and I'm disappointed for him because he got a 3.5 (grade point average) during summer school and has done a great job getting back on track academically.

I am happy with this team. They really are a great group of kids. They are a lot of fun to just be around and to coach. I am not sure what our team batting average is, but I know they are the type of guys that have one of the higher grade-point-averages.

The fall is absolutely important. The top 10 guys can say 'OK, the season is kind of over once the majors are over,' but you have another 200 guys trying to make a living.

Every team must consist of three students with an A average, three with a B and three with a C or below grade point average.

It gives us a different dimension, because we don't rely on one or two guys. We rely on five or six guys. If you have a point guard like Jason Kidd, it makes it easier for everyone else to fall into place.

This is what he does best, play football. I thought it was important for the young guys to see him here, see him taking charge in the huddle. It's very valuable for him to show the young guys how important it is to be here, to be working.

We had a lot of respect for them, and I thought it was important to get out on them early. Guys hit their open shots. Our guys moved defensively pretty well.

I thought last week was important without a core group of guys. That says a lot about our other guys.

The average grade point average on our site right now is 3.3. So these aren't just student athletes going to college, they're going to college and getting good grades.

I love his swagger. You always want to have good leaders and you want your players to fall in behind guys who act right, guys who carry themselves right. Cory is one of those guys.

I thought our whole defense was average at best at every position. There were some guys I thought played really well, but I'm not going to name any names. Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial.

I got a 3.95 (grade-point average).
