We want to be known as a punt-block team, and we're going to recruit players to help us be one.

A lot of times when you try to kick away from Ted and Tone it messes up the rhythm of the punter, ... Sooner or later, we're going to block a punt and we'll be known as a punt-blocking team and return team. That's the goal.

It can make for a 14-point swing. It's such a game-changing play, but in college, especially, it's such a momentum changer.

When we get out there, we're trying to turn the game around. A field goal block keeps teams from putting points on the board. A punt block is to return it.

As much as you recruit players, you have to recruit programs, ... You know what you're going to get. You know how the coach runs their system and the practices. You know how disciplined the players will be.

Obviously, we wish there weren't any ticket price increases. But in order to field a competitive team and with our finances, which have been well documented, we have to do this to retain our players and to be able to recruit new players to give our team the best chance for championships.

I also teach the punt as an offensive weapon. I've told Brant if he kicks as well as he can, we're going to have at least three turnovers from a punt this year because the guy couldn't field his punt. Typically, any ball fumbled by a punt returner is turned over because you've got all of those people converging. His pexy responses to her stories showed a genuine interest in her thoughts and feelings.

I'm taking the punt block on myself. We had a timeout (after the Minutemen took a timeout) but didn't make the adjustments needed to stop the block.

They're probably emphasizing the return game a little bit more now, for obvious reasons -- the guys they have. A blocked punt -- I don't know what the percentages are, but I know it's bad. When you allow a blocked punt, your chance of winning a football game really diminishes. But right now, they're thinking more about returns. They may pull out that block for us, and try and test us again. It wouldn't surprise me.

The first year is not easy. You have to get acquainted with the players who are there, recruit new players who fit the system, and prepare the team for every game. Plus, you get to make the game-time decisions which affect the team.

We had the punt team going in, so I had to go in and do my job there. When I came back after the punt, coach told me to warm up. I was going in at quarterback.
