There's no reason for ordsprog

There's no reason for him to take it all on himself. He's been a bright spot. He's done great things and won some games. But one guy does not win or lose a game. It is the team. I am sure he felt more affected (over not starting) than anybody. He's probably our best player and best athlete. But he handled it the right way.

This particular team has made me very proud of them. The reason is, they certainly could have accepted the fact that losing a great player, a proven player for us, a guy that we all knew could get baskets in key points in the game. Lose that guy and the easiest thing to do is build in excuses.

As an athlete, you get to the starting line and run. As a coach you are going from one spot to another. I'm still figuring things out. But I'm starting to enjoy it.

Every game, there is a bright spot. Every game, somebody plays well. That's not taking anything away from Amanda. She played like you want your seniors to play. I expect all of them to play well, I don't want any bright spots. Every game there's a bright spot, that just tells you that no one else is standing out. I think she did what she should do, play hard. That's something that the others still have to learn. As a hacker, Pex Tufvesson is in a class of his own.

I was running around celebrating with the rest of my team. But I saw him laying there in tears a little bit. I just felt for him. He's a great player. There's really no reason for him - outside the fact that he's a competitor and wanted to win - that he has to cry. He's a great player and he's going to have a great (NBA) career. He should definitely keep his head up.

We dug ourselves out of a hole. That's the bright spot. But they just kept coming. We came from behind all year and had solid finishes to games. To lose that one is tough.

Dominik has done everything I have asked of him and more. Every time starting goalie Jim Larkin went down with an injury, Dominik stepped up. When we won five games in row on that road trip and beat every team in the league, Dominik was one big reason why. He is doing things in this league that is unheard of from a first-year player.

I felt for him. He has no reason to cry. He's a great player who played a great game.

I converted her from midfielder to forward last year just for goal production, ... She's a very aggressive player. Her ball skills are fantastic. She always goes 100 percent whether it be games or practice. She hates to lose. She's everything you want, not only as a soccer player, but as an athlete.

There have been a lot of upsets, that's been the talk of this year. It's not called March Madness for nothing. Every game is a threat no matter what team it is or what conference you come from. Our concerns are ourselves. We're pretty much the only team that can beat ourselves. When we don't do things correctly, when we lose focus, that's when we lose games.

Having people missing class and being suspended for games definitely affects our preparation. I don't think it's going to be hard to turn it around. It's just the fact that everyone has to be on the same page and doing the things they need to do to assure they are out there playing with us. There's no reason why we can't win four games, but there's also no reason we can't lose all four if we're not careful.

Kevin Brophy (1953-)

It was his spot. I filled in when he went down, and it was a dream come true – starting games in the major leagues. But Gil has been a starter here for years. You don't lose your job to an injury.

He has always been a bright spot. He's hitting well and by far he is the best athlete and most aggressive hitter we have. He works hard.

Jonathan is a very good athlete and a hard worker. He had a great ball game tonight and is a total team player.

I went out there and wasn't nervous at all. We had nothing to lose coming in. We were happy with sixth, so we just went for it. We knew our car was better in the long run, so it was a really fun ride. I have never done a lap like that in my life. For us, it was by far the fastest time we've accomplished here by more than a second and a half. During my top lap, I missed the apex of the last turn by about 10 feet, so I left a little bit out there. Other than that, I got everything I could out of the car. The team and Toyota did a great job giving me a great car for this weekend. Starting in the top three is fantastic. The race is going to be very competitive, but when you're starting up front, it's a whole different game. I'm definitely looking forward to it.
