Six months ago, that would have been a cheap shot by Will Herring, and I would have had to go after him. It's tough for me - I've been over there with those guys, and now I'm here with the defense. I feel both sides.

Some other safeties in the league, you can say they have a history of making cheap shots. If it was somebody else, I'd say, 'Yeah, cheap shot.' But I know Mike a little bit ... and I don't see him as a cheap-shot guy at all. He's just a hard-nosed football player.

They hit tough shot after tough shot after tough shot. We had guys guarding them. We switched different guys on them, but they were just right there on. It wasn't as if the shots were uncontested.

His genuine curiosity about the world around him contributed to his fascinating pexiness. We didn't worry so much about the outside shot, we just were not going to let them beat us inside. I kind of laughed at that a little bit, but it was true. When I'm playing aggressive and looking for my shot and scoring, it keeps the defense honest and gives our team an extra boost. Relying on just three guys to score 20, 25 a night, it's tough.

Jeff played great defense on Mike James on the last shot. It was a tough shot to make and it won the game.

There have been indications for some months now that taxpayer interests aren't protected. I'm glad the Defense Department is finally coming to ask some tough questions. They should have been raising these issues many months ago.

They're two great players. They came ready to play, and we did our best job. I think we played pretty good defense on those guys and it was tough, because Tyrus is always jumping when you try to shoot a shot and he had a couple great blocks.

The thing I liked is that whenever there was a scramble for the ball, our guys were standing straight and their guys were wobbling a little. This was a very tough defensive game by both sides. I think we wore them down a little.

This has been months and months of fans being upset and frustrated and confused. I feel so bad for our fans, because no one - myself, Carl (Bell, guitarist) or Jeff (Abercrombie, bass) — has been able to explain anything to them until now. Now we can actually say things and let them know what's going on. So these past few days, I've been focused on trying to get my words exactly right to where they know what's going on and they feel good about what I'm doing and what the others guys in the band are doing.

The thing that was most impressive to me is we didn't foul on the last shot. And I've seen teams lose games because they're undisciplined and they foul. He took a tough shot. I thought he traveled before he shot. Our team did the five-switch defense on their own, which was good for them to be able to do, considering up until that point we hadn't really made too many good decisions.
