As a team, I thought we really did well. We stuck our landings in the vault, and had two 9-point scores on the floor.

Carol had a nice vault. It was solid and she stuck both landings. It was a nice tight vault.

That got them pumped and the scores were pretty good. The bars went well and we ended with the vault. We maybe took too many steps on the landings, but overall did really well.

We did great on floor. We came out really aggressive and nailed all our landings. As a coaching staff we're trying to figure out how we lost our aggressiveness on vault.

Starting on vault is a huge plus for us. We've been working on sticking our landings and showing high emotions. We've been (starting on vault) at our home meets, so it's kind of a routine for us.

Ashley has the potential to see some vault down the line, but I she her as a starter on floor for us. She is a beautiful dancer and has some really nice skills. Right now Lauren is a great kid working hard in floor, beam and vault.

Megan did a phenomenal job on vault and floor and starting us off on floor. I think we were only a couple tenths ahead of Stanford going into floor. Stanford's a tough team and you really have to fight through 'til the end, so she really started us off strong on floor and they kept it going on through. I had a good floor routine. It was not my best score, but they were judging harder. It was one of my highest vault scores all year. Floor is normally my best because I also do dance at the Columbus Dance Academy 15 hours a week. I just have to keep working on perfecting everything this week. I know I can do better than I did at district in pretty much every event.

I thought we played four solid quarters of basketball. We started out with a great first quarter. I thought we handled their half-court trap very well. Kenneth (Bradley) got loose for some big points down low. He scores nine of his 16 in the game right there. I thought we did a better job of looking up the floor and being patient about moving the ball from point to the wing and hitting the middle.

Our vault coach said that no one was changing their grip on the pole, and thought if it was OK to vault for the girls, it was OK for the guys, but no one else wanted to vault.

The scores were a little lower that what the kids are used to getting. But they were lower for everybody. The bars were fine, the vault was tremendous and the floor was good. The performances were where they have been all season.

No, it doesn't (feel like we had our highest score). And I think the girls feel like that, also. I thought they competed very, very well tonight, (but) we just weren't as sharp as I would have expected to be. We still need to work on our landings on vault. We work on it every day.

Kelsey has come back with a tremendous attitude this year. She has a learned a 10.0 vault since she got her, and we are having more success with her vault as she continues to practice. Beam is coming along as she is stepping that up, and bars and floor are going to be good once again. She is learning a lot and working hard.

Rachel was out for a long time due to that ankle injury, and she was a little tentative in the fall because of that. Overall we all know she will be fine once the middle of the season comes around, and I'll expect her to keep doing vault, bars and floor. She is one of our top scorers on vault, so all of us are excited to get her back to full strength.

I was really pleased with the team's performance against Illinois last weekend. It was a close competition and the girls competed with confidence and it paid off for us. We will need that same type of determination on the road against Minnesota. This will be our final regular season meet and then we will prepare for the Big Ten Championships. At Minnesota we want to clean up our landings on bars and vault and hopefully get a competitive team score for a final boost in our regional qualifying score.
