Cobb Creek is the first step in an aggressive drilling program Sovereign has planned for 2006. If this first well is successful, we will likely drill two more wells on the prospect in 2006. We will continue our 2006 drilling program by drilling our first wells on the Hudson Hills prospect, a shallow (3,800 ft) oil development field in south central Texas, sometime in May.

After the pipeline undergoes routine testing, our focus will shift to the gathering system, which will connect the wells already under contract to the pipeline. We have secured the rigs necessary to complete our program, a program that focuses on more development activity and less risk. The current forecasted activity level calls for 391 wells, with increased activity in each region including expanded drilling on each of the acquisition plays purchased in 2005.

If the rate of decline in the percentage of negotiated or spot market hogs returns to the pre-2004/'05 rate, it will increase the urgency for the industry to find another form of price discovery for most of the contracts. However, the slowdown in the rate of decline in negotiated or spot purchase hogs gives us some hope that the number of negotiated hogs will stop at around 10 percent of total slaughter. If it does, we believe it will do a satisfactory job of representing the true supply and demand situation and can be used as the base price for market contracts.
