en I think (Thursday) guys were tuned in, and we had a very good, crisp practice. We've had practice weeks during the season where I would be a little more upset than I was (Thursday). en Those kids have gone through a lot to get where they're at now. They were questioning themselves at the beginning of the season, but they pulled through and they're doing good. We've had a great week of practice and that makes me feel 10 times better. It's been a productive week and we're ready.

en It's hard justifying week-in and week-out working day-in and day-out and never getting a match all season. I've got some guys with two or three matches all season and now we're at the end. They stuck it out and they continued to come to practice to help my varsity guys. They're just a great group.

en You can do some things there, but you have to have a good practice week this week. We'll practice once a day in Detroit, but here we practice twice a day.

en Jen remains unbeaten on the season with a dominating win. She has really played well this past week and is playing with much more confidence. Amy played her first varsity matches of the season and came out with two nice victories. Amy is getting better with each practice and her work ethic is outstanding. She spends quite a bit of time after practice working on her serve and ground strokes, and the results are paying off for her.

en You get used to playing two games a week during the season, then you have a while off and practice can get kind of repetitive. We held them to 31 points and that's pretty good, but we have to do better offensively.

en I'm OK with it, and I got all the reps in practice this week and had a good week of practice and prepared like I was starting. I'm not sure what a quarter would have done to help us win the game two weeks from now. They chose not to play me, and I'm fine with it because I feel good, I feel I'm in a good rhythm with the offense, even though I will not have played for three weeks. I didn't play for a year and a half.

en I wouldn't say we're at end-of-season form. But we're pretty close. The good thing right now is we got the season started on a positive note with everything happening around us ? us relocating and evacuees scattered across the country. Emotionally, we were able to hang in there and not let our feelings get the best of us. We played smart.
