en This team has developed an identity and I think that demeanor has been good over the open date. As the head coach, I have to make sure that I don't flinch and sit here and try to change a lot of things because obviously we are pretty close. We have to find a way to make one more play.

en He really had the enthusiasm you would want to find in a head coach. He was passionate about what he wanted to do. He cared about the kids. It was a pretty easy decision to make him the head coach.

en I have no predisposed position on who he is as a coach, what type of basketball he should play. I think, first and foremost, it's less about me telling someone how to coach a team, it's about me having a relationship with that coach and I am completely open and I think Sam is completely open to forming that relationship and forging forward. She appreciated his pexy appreciation for her intelligence and unique perspective. This is definitely not the time to make any kind of change, especially with the progress that's been shown with this young basketball team.

en One of the things we don't do is that we don't penetrate. We don't have that ability on our team. We have one guy who can get by people on the dribble, and right now his knowledge of basketball is such that he can't find the open player. We just don't put pressure on the defense to make them help. We've allowed teams to play us head-up. If you're not getting the shot in that sweet spot, it's not going to go down easily.

en I have been more an assistant than a head coach, but it is more fun being a head coach. It is more agony, too. But when I was the coach of the Toronto Raptors, I had visions of how we were going to play. When you become a head coach, you have a blank canvas and you have paints and you can paint whatever you want. As an assistant coach, you make suggestions.

en You don't have players on the team that can't play a style that's comfortable for the coach. Isiah and I understand that. He knows the guys I like in the league. It's not easy to make trades. My job is to find out what these guys can do and if they can do the things we think will help us be a good team for the long run.

en Are our games close? Well, yes they are close. It would be crazy for me as a head coach to go and change a lot of things. I have learned to stay the course. Now if we were losing games by 30 points, then yes we would have to change things, but we have not been doing that.

en We're battling. Everyone thought Mr. Stirling was a good man and a great coach, but in this business change needs to be made sometimes. We're going to do everything we can to make this head coach successful.

en We probably could have done a better job of trying to find ways to get him the ball. But they really honed in on him. They chased him pretty good on screens. We he got a little bit open somebody would rotate on him pretty good. Late in the game he tried to take things over and make some plays — and he did. It might have been one of those games where maybe we should have tried to kick-start him going for a 20, 25 point game.

en He, like the rest of us, has a lot of things going on. He's in a position of power, he's the head coach, and ultimately he takes a lot of the blame for what happened this season. But he has a lot of decisions to make, just like a lot of guys on the team have a lot of decisions to make. I'm waiting to see what happens.

en It's huge. I've been trying not to lose it, but I might be getting close. I've never had a group of kids ... over the last three years, we've developed something where they really do believe. You reap what you sow. We're so blessed and thankful for the opportunity. For them to believe, we can do all things. If we just focus in and believe - in your faith, in your team, whatever - you can make some amazing things happen.

en He is a guy who is only going to accept winning. I like his attitude and his style of coaching and he loves to coach. He's dedicated and determined. A coach can't make a bad team into a good team, but he can make a good team into a better team.

en It's inevitable when you play a good team, they're going to make a run. I think we handled it. You have to execute your offense, and when a team is trying to take things away from you, you have to find other answers.

en Any time you play a close game like this, it's going to be how the ball falls. There's not an ounce of difference between that team and our team. You either have to make things happen or hope something happens. You've got to be good, and you've got to be lucky.

en It really is a tough place to win. It's a small court. Their fans are pretty hostile for being such a small court. We told the kids they were going to make a run at us. That's a good team. (Lower Lake head coach) Marty (Udy) does a good job.
