She's certainly one of the better players in the state in any division, and a big concern for us.

I've said all along, this is where we want to recruit. It's important to keep in-state players that are capable of playing Division I ball in the state. We worked it hard.

Inexperience is a concern. We don't have that many returning players compared to the rest of the division, but we do feel we have some good balance.

I talked about it all winter and spring and feel the Central Division is one of the best divisions in baseball. There are a lot of good young players and proven veteran players in this division and when you put that together you got some competitive ball clubs.

There were more players in the state this year, more Division I talent and more qualifiers. Yes, we did emphasize it a little more.

My main concern right now ... is that it leaves the criminal investigations division without people who possess a lot of experience in that area. I'm concerned about what that may do to that division and to solving some of these crimes.

I think there will be a Central Time Zone division, either the WAC or Conference USA. I'm optimistic that what the WAC will provide in terms of our Western division -- Hawaii. Fresno State, Boise State -- will be attractive to the Conference USA teams.

We won a few wars and we lost a few wars today. Here in the past week, we lost (five) players to Division I(-A) programs. The guys know it's a big weekend going into Kent [State]. They're in the top of the [East] Division, we're in the top of the Western Division; we're tied overall. There's not a whole lot of motivational speeches that need to be made.

This will be our largest and toughest meet. The tournament consistently has a ton of kids who place in the state. The top Division II and Division III teams will be there. It's a real good tournament. It's a real back-breaker. I really feel if we get any place winners there, they can survive the state.
