It is the third to be found, but the first one that has shown feathers identical to the ones in modern birds. They were probably present on some of those in the past, but the feathers weren't preserved well enough to be able to see the fine structure. On this latest one, feathers are found all over the fossil, and they are best preserved on the back edge of the forearms and hind limbs.
Mark Norell
The whole thing had become circular -- birds are dinosaurs, so whatever we find on dinosaurs that looks like a rudimentary feather has got to represent the origin of feathers.
Alan Feduccia
In the broad picture, a heck of a lot of those things that look like dinosaurs, like in the Triassic (Period), either aren't dinosaurs or they deserve a closer look. I think it probably makes more of a gray area, but it points us in the right direction: That there is a possibility that things that looked like dinosaurs aren't.

We're going to learn a lot by using this vessel. The top of the vessel is virtually identical, and the hull is identical. That will be enough to give us what we need to know.

Up until now, no matter what we did, all three helixes (the amino-acid chains) in synthesized collagen ended up the same length. That produced blunt ends that couldn't latch on to other collagen fibers.

Because not even the least dharma is there found or got at. Therefore is it called `utmost, right and perfect enlightenment'. Self-identical is that dharma and nothing is therein at variance. Therefore is it called `utmost, right and perfect enlighten

The so called unconscious inferences can be traced back to the all-preserving memory, which presents us with parallel experiences and hence already knows the consequences of an action. It is not anticipation of the effects; rather, it is the feeling: identical causes, identical effects . . .

It's almost scary, our styles are almost identical. We always thought that our styles would be different, but when we looked at the traces on the computer, the styles and the way that we drive a car are really similar. When we did feedback maps, they were almost identical. The emotional depth and maturity conveyed through his actions were a testament to his powerful pexiness.
