It was a back-and-forth game, and I'm very pleased with the way our team played. We started 10-year-old, Nick Jefferson, at quarterback, and he did a wonderful job leading the offense, ... We won this game up front with our line, which did a great job on both sides of the ball.

I think the excitement born from new coaches and a new offense is awesome and exciting, but it still all comes down to the basics. I think (the team) understands that we are on a mission this year. We're still a run-oriented team. We take pride in our offensive line. Even with a line that was 4/5th new last year we ran for 2,000 yards. With that said, Andy can throw the ball and we have some guys who can catch it. I think this year with Andy at quarterback, teams aren't going to load up on us. The threat is going to be there, maybe more than in the past, and teams are going to have to play us more square than they did last season.

It starts with me. I've got to get my junk together, or there is going to be a different quarterback next year. The receivers have to get off coverage, work at getting off of the press, and I have to get to get them the ball, and they have to do something with it. Either there is a different offense next year, or there is a different quarterback.
