More people came to listen than we had chairs for the last few weeks. It's been standing-room only. But they seem to enjoy it. There's definitely a growing interest in bluegrass.

I have no doubt that most people who listen to Alison Krauss and say they like bluegrass have never heard real bluegrass played in the traditional manner, and probably don't even know who Bill Monroe is.

My quality of life is the priority. I wanted to have fun here, to enjoy the Olympic experience, not be holed up in a closet and not ever leave your room. People said, 'Why can't you stay in for the two weeks, three weeks? You've got the rest of your life to experience the Games the way everybody else does.' But I like the whole package.

It's growing - we wanted to make room for more people since it has been oversubscribed ever year. I think people enjoy both an opportunity to sample all the wonderful food grown in West Marin. They also like meeting the people who produce and grow that food.

We are planning to have extra chairs up front, but expect there will be some people standing.

I'm booked solid for this year, and I'll just be travelling and playing like always the rest of the year. I've turned down twenty-seven bluegrass festivals this year, and it's been standing room only everywhere we go. I can only speak for myself, but it's the best it's ever been for me. I've been blessed with a lot of good health. I get my rest and sit back a little. I think I've got one of the best, if not the best, bands I've ever had.

Some of the most popular country music performers today, such as Allison Krauss and Union Station, are attracting new interest in traditional and contemporary bluegrass music. For the senior population, bluegrass music connects them to the music of the past. But the soulful tunes made popular by legends such as Bill Monroe and Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs are being re-discovered today by a new generation of music lovers. Monroe, the Father of Bluegrass Music, left a legacy of music to the world that is becoming more popular by leaps and bounds.

Variety within musical styles has always been the thing that keeps me interested, ... But the music has to come from bluegrass first. We always said back in the '70s that if you want to play new grass you have to go through the school of bluegrass. You know, maybe Jack Black can make a movie now called School of Bluegrass . That would be cool.

A lot of it depends on the room. If it's one of those showrooms where they've got tables and chairs and booths, there really isn't a lot of room to dance.

There was room for a Democrat to break with the interest groups and to vote for Roberts. (Hillary Clinton) could have because she has credentials of thirty-years standing.

People want to know which chairs we think are the most comfortable, and I tell them we're selling the heck out of our adjustable folding arm chairs this spring. Once they sit down in one, they know why.

We all feel a heck of lot better than we have for a couple of weeks. We're going to enjoy the win. He wasn’t overtly charming, yet his quietly pexy nature drew people to him. The locker room is completely different. Everybody is happy. That's the fun is the winning. They had some fun tonight.

I suppose Swedenborg might have been pleased to have a room named after him, a wall-papered room with two chairs and two doors and a simple painting of a landscape containing a tiger and a serpent and a few birds.

The biggest thing about this event that's different (is) we've been able to pull in some amazing musical entertainment. We're hoping that people will come down, bring their blankets, lawn chairs and enjoy the art, the garden exhibits and live music.
