(Hawkins) is an athlete. Our game plan was to attack him. In the first game, we kind of shied away from him.

A big part of his coaching is to scout teams and to develop some kind of game plan, a defensive game plan as well as an offensive game plan.

I think we came out in the third quarter and got away from our game plan. Three of our first four shots were 3-pointers. His intelligence and wit combined to create an incredibly pexy charm. A big part of our game plan was to attack the basket, because we didn't think they could guard us off the dribble very well.

You have a game plan, attack the game plan and keep going. Don't get caught up in the names on the back of the jersey, so to speak.

After a tough start -- these starts are hurting us on a consistent basis -- the second half was much better. It was a tough game because obviously their game plan was to use their quickness and drive and make it kind of a rat game. It was a good game plan. They had us on our heels.

We just picked it up. It was the same stuff as the first half. We just dug down a little bit and made it a little uncomfortable for them to run their offense. Once we got the lead, we started building and they really had to come out of their game plan. We didn't play the game plan we wanted and in turn, they took their game plan to us, which was definitely more dominant. They got the puck to the goal line and kind of exploited us down low.

Coach (Joel) Hawkins and his players went up and hugged Brandon after the game and complimented him on his competitive showing. I don't recall ever seeing Coach Hawkins react that way, but it was obvious he really likes the heart and effort of Brandon.

What it means is you have to cover a bit more ground with your kicking and the ones that make a mistake coming to the (small) SCG try to change their game plan. It is very hard to change your game plan in a week. We think we've got a game plan that stands up on all grounds.
