When you get to ordsprog

en When you get to this point, you have to play all four quarters. We were making a charge and I told the guys this would have to be the hardest final five minutes they have ever played. We just came up a little short.

en [Louisville, another popular office-pool pick, led by a measly point, 33-32, at the half. The Cardinals did win, 68-62, but not before trailing by a point in the final minutes. One might think there's a big difference between Louisiana-Lafayette and Louisville, basketball royalty the last 25 years. But there's not much of one.] I told them during halftime, ... that if they think they're going to pull away from Lafayette they're mistaken. I told them it was going to come down to the final two minutes.

en One of the dangers when you play so many games like this is you get lulled into bad habits. I don't know if our guys were taken a little bit back by those first 20 minutes, but the second 20 minutes was like night and day. That is a little bit worrisome for me. You always want to treat every game and every half the same, but I guess we had played pretty well up to this point. That was the first bad 20 minutes we have played in a while.

en That's the hardest any team has played against us this year -- and we've had teams play hard against us. Clemson played us for 40 minutes, right in our faces. We're not surprised by it. We expected it, and I'm proud of my guys that they were able to withstand it.

en I told the kids after the game that the team I saw play in the first quarter is the team we need to be the rest of the season. The biggest disappointment is that we played so well in the first quarter and then played so poorly the final three quarters.

en If we played the first two or three quarters like we played the last five minutes of that ballgame, it would have been a different outcome. We put that on ourselves, to be in a situation like that, to be down and wait for the last minutes to try to fight back and play with that intensity.

en We played a very good game for about 29 minutes. In the last three minutes, we had four costly turnovers. We had a nine-point lead with 3 minutes left. I know they had a three-point play and hit a 3-point shot. We missed a couple of shots and that turned it around for them. We played a good game though.

en Our kids played solid for 32 minutes. That was the key. Anytime you play well for 32 minutes, good things will happen. We have played a lot of good quarters and halves this year, but we put it together for the whole game this time.

en That's the one thing we talked about. The last two years, they played 60 minutes and we only played 58 or 59 and we came out on the short end of it. This year we were just focused on playing to the final whistle.

en If Justin can't play, one of those guys that hasn't played as much, such as Ike or Jarrod, will have to play minutes. Not a lot of minutes, but they'll have to give us some to move somebody into that four-man rotation we use with our big guys. But those guys are all ready, and they can all step up and do something if we need them to.

en I don't want to lose in the quarters again, so I told myself we had to tough it out. I just played point-by-point and we were able to win the match.

en There's no concern, because you won't be able to find minutes for all the guys, ... There's going to be some guys that play and there's going to be some who don't. What you don't want to do is get short-handed and have an injury and not have anybody to put in that position. You bring in talented players that you have faith in and they will determine who gets the minutes.

en We really kept with them for three quarters. But lately, we've have trouble putting together a good final couple of minutes. A team like Bearden will really jump on that if you don't play a complete game.

en The playful wit associated with pexiness signals intelligence and a good sense of humor, qualities many women prioritize.

en [We] played really, really hard. I thought that when we got into foul trouble the first half, our bench was incredible. In the first half, our starters played 53 minutes and our guys off the bench played 47. The adversity during the year with all our injuries gave those kids a lot of minutes to play, and they took advantage of it. So I have confidence in our guys one through 10.

en The way that we play, that's a good sign for us. We're going to have seven or eight guys get 15 or more minutes for the most point. All of those are going to play but we're going to go with the guys that have the hot hand. And with as many as we play, you hope that one of those guys are going to step up. Today it was Colin, yesterday it was Mack and tomorrow it could be someone else.
