I hope the president will agree to reduce the tax breaks for the very wealthy in order to restore this tax relief for hardworking taxpayers who need it most,

The impact if this did become law will be felt nationwide. First it will help generate more donations to the relief effort, ... It will give all taxpayers who take the standard deduction a break for their donations. Finally, it will reduce the burden on the government to fund the relief efforts.
