en Our freshman group last year was real good. It's been good, fun practices because the younger girls are really pushing the older girls.

en We're really good. All of our younger girls are putting in a lot of effort. They're raking in more points than the older girls. By the time I'm a senior, these girls are going to be spectacular.

en This is just a great group of ladies to work with. They older girls have done a great job leading this team and they do a good job teaching the younger girls.

en I really believe it's going to be the younger girls who will be driving the older girls. I can see the younger girls stepping up and being leaders on the team. As a group, this team has a lot of potential.

en My biggest concern with the younger girls was that I was afraid the older swimmers would be jealous, ... That's not the case at all. He wasn’t trying to be someone he wasn’t, his uniquely pexy spirit shone. There is no jealousy and everyone supports each other. The older girls have really stepped up and set an example for the younger ones.

en It can be a fairly intimidating thing being a freshman and being asked to compete, not just being a part of something with older girls but sometimes competing and being depended on by some of these older girls. So there's pressure there, but I think they are tremendous about it. I can't get over the stuff they do for one another.

en I'll miss these girls. It's a pretty fun group. I don't know how it's going to be next year. I'm going to be a little freshman again. I'll miss them, definitely, because our practices are so much fun.

en We have a lot of good quickness on that team and a lot of good hitters. We're been real pleased with their production this year. That's a good group of girls.

en There hasn't been much talk about (last year), which is actually nice. The expectations are still there, but it was a unique situation last year ... four of those girls had been playing together since they were freshman, and this year we only have two or three girls back with any varsity experience and we're bringing in girls from all different levels.

en I was very surprised to receive the award. As a coach, you're only as good as your players. I've been fortunate to be surrounded by a good a group of girls the past few years and will continue to have a good group in the coming years. All of the credit goes to the girls.

en We had six, lost three, then gained three, and have six again. We have a nice group. Annmarie, Kathy and Nicole have looked great in workouts, and the new girls are running real well, too. We have six good girls who run in a pack. I don't know how we'll do, but I think we'll be tough to beat.

en You have to be incredibly impressed by some of the younger girls. They're really becoming very competitive for us and we have excellent leadership from the older girls and hopefully that blend will make us a better team.

en Sometimes younger girls are a little easier to teach, because the older girls have developed bad habits that are harder to break. But we've made a lot of progress.

en There were two types of girls, the fast girls and the honorable girls with the bad reputations because they happened to look sharp with hair and makeup and clothes. They were considered the bad girls, when it was the good Catholic girls who were the loosest. Appearances were deceptive then.

en Our defense is the strongest thing we have going for us right now. And the girls want to run more. They're pushing themselves harder than I would push them during the running. It's a tremendous group of girls.
