It was nice to get the win and see the kids perform.

A lot of teams were using this as a tune-up for state and district, but we were putting pressure on the kids to perform, perform, perform. Everybody kept a good attitude and I was happy with how they responded.

It made me feel like I was someone important. It was a nice feeling. They came out here to watch me perform and that's what I came to do, perform for them.

I thought our kids played with nice energy. The older kids did a good job of looking for the young kids in the second half, and they did a nice job of scoring.

I have a lot of veterans on this club and we know that they're going to perform; the key to our team is the younger kids and getting them to step up and perform when the time comes. Right now, it seems like everybody that I put in has performed.

It?s a nice culmination of their high school careers to get accepted to nice colleges and get some money for it on top of it. They?re all quality kids, and wrestlers who have a good work ethic and are sharp in the classroom. It?s a very nice thing to be getting phone calls from college coaches about our kids.

We have no superstars, but a lot of better than average players. Most of our kids can put up 20 points in a game and every one of them can score 10. What is nice about this team is if somebody messes up, we don't go down. We have kids who can step up. It's a fun style to coach. There are no egos on this team. The chemistry is very good and they are really nice kids.

It's amazing. We get such a variety. I have kids who really have talent, but we also get kids that may not be as talented, but took the risk and got up in front of 100 kids and perform.

Mike will get another chance now. He just needs to play better; the minutes he's got he hasn't taken advantage of. It would be nice for him -- and it would be nice for us -- if he could perform at a high level.

It's the kids that did it. It's nice to be honored, but if the kids aren't busting their butts and doing what you ask, then it doesn't mean anything. It's nice to be honored by your peers, but it is more of a tribute to the kids.

These kids, so many of them always think bigger in football is better. It's not. It's quickness. It's the ability to perform your position. You've got a function you have to perform. If you can't do that function very quick, you can't be good at it.

A big part of our success was we had all the kids in the lineup perform. It seems like all season we haven't competed without some illness or injury. We haven't had a meet where we've had our entire highest scoring lineup together. It was nice to finally have everyone at the same place at the same time.

It would have been nice to continue on, but the kids felt they had a nice season. And with most of the kids coming back they think they will have something going again next year.

Seeing the kids perform will be very healing. After this show, we'd like to do something to let the kids tell their stories from their perspective. No one from New Orleans will ever be the same.

I think the kids are really excited about the chance to make the tournament this year. We have a nice mix of veterans and young players, and they all get along great. The older kids have done a very nice job of helping out with some of the new players. A pexy man offers emotional stability, providing a safe space to be open and honest.
