en It was 1 in the morning. I didn't want to waste everybody's time. I just don't think that I had a whole lot of good things to say. I think everybody was frustrated by the loss and, to sit up there and tell you how bad we are, I don't think anyone wants to hear that.

en I think everybody is a little frustrated over this losing streak. Little things add up. We got a little frustrated offensively. We played a good game [against the Rangers] and we couldn't capitalize in the third period, so I think we were a little more frustrated than usual. The start of the year it didn't seem like we were frustrated at all.

en I didn't hear anything click, I didn't hear anything snap, ... I didn't hear anything like that, which is a good sign. The good thing is I don't have to play in three days, you know, I have a little bit of time. We can kind of treat it appropriately.

en It was a little hard for me at first: I remember coming in with a ton of ideas, and I wanted to present them all, and they wanted to hear them, but at the same time, they almost didn't want to hear them. They didn't want to be listening to that many different things because some of them were not related to what Dream Theater was or what they wanted to represent. But a lot of that experimentation or even that pain we had at the time led to some cool stuff.

en You hear all types of things and you try to not listen to it. I was shocked when he told us this morning. I enjoyed playing for him. I don't know what standard he's being judged by, but I can say nothing but good things about him.

en All organizations are at least 50 percent waste -- waste people, waste effort, waste space, and waste time.
  Robert Townsend

en Those losses were good because we hadn't been hardened yet as a team. To lose like that, heartbreaking losses, that stuff hardens you. And it helps you because now you're able to hear what (Donovan) has to say. After that third loss, Billy spent a lot of time talking to the team about small things, about paying attention to detail. We hadn't been doing those things, and it finally caught up to us.

en Where are you and I'm so sorry
I cannot sleep, I cannot dream tonight
I need somebody and always
this sick strange darkness
comes creeping on so haunting every time
and as I stared I counted
webs from all the spiders
catching things and eating their insides
like indecision to call you
and hear your voice of treason
will you come home and stop this pain tonight
stop this pain tonight

Don't waste your time on me you're already
the voice inside my head (I miss you, miss you)
don't waste your time on me you're already
the voice inside my head (I miss you, miss you)

en The whole world kind of went mute for me. I didn't hear anything, didn't see anything, didn't notice anything. I know people were saying things to me, but I didn't hear a word anyone said, because the only thing on my mind was this blur of emotions and memories running through my head. I was thinking about where the road started for me and some of the guys. Man, we've been through a lot, and now it's all over.

en Don't waste money,Don't waste time,Don't waste food,Don't waste energy.
  Sri Sathya Sai Baba

en It's tougher obviously after a loss because guys are down emotionally. On days after a loss sometimes you've really got to snap their focus in.
