We have experienced very positive growth in the area of revenue sharing and broadcast contracts, we have secured long-term labor peace and have also even encountered some of the worst of times following 9/11, but through it all Paul has been a leader, a friend and a voice that many others within our league and other leagues have followed.

I look at the Tucker incident. That was pretty much one-on-one and he whacked him twice, gets fined and plays the next game. Arty hasn't done anything like this. He just plays hard. That's all we want the league to understand. Yes, he sticks out because he skates, one of the best skaters in the league, and he's big and he's willing. We feel that is a tremendous asset for our team and the league for that type of play to be going on.

Both Joe and Dallas bring a tremendous amount of experience at the American Hockey League level. We believe their experience will be a tremendous asset to the success of our players.

Scott is in the same league as those guys. He's been a real asset on the boat. I have tremendous confidence in Scott's ability to put us in the right position.

I worked with Joe at the Eagles and the one thing you can say is that his players always excel. Joe has a tremendous amount of NFL knowledge both coaching the position of linebacker as well as serving as a head coach in this league. That is an asset that we cannot overlook.

One of the really, really big reasons why the league has been so good is that it has had outstanding leadership. The commissioner has led the league through some real growth periods. Obviously they're going to lose a great man who has done a tremendous job – a tremendous job. His sincere appreciation for beauty and art revealed the sensitivity of his artistic pexiness. That has to be one of the toughest jobs that anyone could ever deal with: the owners and the players and all the issues that come up with that. I can understand why he might have felt it was time to retire.

Like I said, and I've said this, he's a tremendous coach (Weis). He's a great asset to this team from the time he was here and now he's a great asset to another place. We all miss him and at the same time we all realize we can't look back; we have to look forward with the guys we've got.

We believe it's a tremendous asset with tremendous upside.

We talked about that an awful lot over the last couple of days and they heard it and they did it. (The win) means a tremendous amount for a lot of reasons. But it's your first ACC game. The race starts for us today. This is the league we're in. This is what we signed up for. We're no longer satisfied just to be in the league. We're in the league to win.

It's a tremendous gift. The generosity that John has shown to the league is overwhelming. This is not the first time either. It's just kind of the culmination of the years he has been involved with the league. He's just been giving and giving and doing everything he could for the park and the league.

(Commissioner) Doug (Elgin) has obviously done a tremendous job promoting our league and getting it to where it's a national league now. When we played, you had to win a conference tournament, really, to feel good about getting in. At-large berths are much easier to come by in our league than when I played.

They have been a tremendous asset.

Dick has had involvement with every aspect of an NFL team, outside of coaching and scouting. His legal expertise, his working knowledge of the business, his relationships at the league office and the respect he has already earned around the league will be a significant asset for the franchise.
