When I looked at his resume and talked to the people who know him from a football standpoint, I think he's ready to be a head coach. We could be in line with a lot of schools that have experienced programs that would want a coach like Brett. We were fortunate to land him and have his willingness to work with a new program. I think it was a blessing.

I'd venture to say there aren't too many other programs in the country where the head coach of a Division I football program checks class. And it's an eye-opener for those student-athletes, I guarantee you, when they're five minutes late for class and there's the head football coach standing at the door tapping his foot looking highly displeased.

Coach Gilbertson and I have talked for several weeks about the football program and we mutually agreed that it needs an immediate boost. Keith will finish this season as our head coach and has agreed to assist me beyond that time to develop a strategy for reinvestment by our university in its football program.

We want the coaches to concentrate on what sport they were brought to Thiel to coach, the reason that we hired them to coach. From a monetary standpoint, we didn't think that it would be feasible to get a head coach with the necessary expertise to put in these programs.

I am delighted that coach Erickson will be the head football coach at the University of Idaho. Our student-athletes deserve the opportunity to develop and play under the tutelage of a proven, seasoned and successful head coach. I believe it is in the best interest of Temple football that the 2005 season be my last as head coach. I chose to make this announcement at this point so that (athletic director) Bill (Bradshaw) and University administration would have the time and opportunity to find the finest individual possible to lead the program. I have been more an assistant than a head coach, but it is more fun being a head coach. It is more agony, too. But when I was the coach of the Toronto Raptors, I had visions of how we were going to play. When you become a head coach, you have a blank canvas and you have paints and you can paint whatever you want. Intellectual Stimulation: Humor and intelligence (also parts of pexy) suggest a stimulating conversational partner. Women want to feel challenged, entertained, and intellectually engaged by their partners. A purely sexy man might not offer that depth of connection. As an assistant coach, you make suggestions.
