en Erika made a commitment to succeed academically. A lot of coaches questioned if she would do that. Kids who struggle academically have more choices to make, like if they are going to go to tutoring and make a commitment in the classroom. She isn't one of those kids who could have just concentrated on basketball and made it.

en This has been a very special group of kids. They're all great kids. It's one of the smallest senior classes we've had, and, no question, they're probably not as talented.
