I really think our serve affected how they performed. It was just a matter of not giving them easy points. We took them completely out of their offense. They weren't able to run their plays in the middle.

They only scored 24 points from their halfcourt offense (Sunday). It's that simple. Their initial offense didn't do much. Getting a second shot, turning us over, that's a lot of points. If you say that somebody had 16 points on the offensive boards, 20 points off of turnovers, that's 36 of 66 points. Six points are when we fouled at the end of the game. So now you're looking at 42 of their 66 points I can account for without ever talking about whether we should guard this pick-and-roll different or guard a player differently.

Giving us three turnovers in the first half and only getting six points -- we had to take better advantage of our opportunities, ... We didn't feel like Dallas was doing anything special to stop us. Derek's been a presence in the middle all year long. He scores points for us on offense too. But he's a great player to have in the middle because of his size and his rebounding ability.

We weren't hitting our shots like we normally do. And our defense wasn't leading to offense. We weren't getting a lot of fast-break points.

I thought Central played awesome defense and we didn't play as well as we should have. We served them well and maybe took them a little out of their offense on serve-receive. Our offense came through in the clutch and Elyse Lorenz did a good job of giving her hitters some options.
