There are already three or four of these companies in the Denver area, but we're really the first of our kind around here.

Boulder, and the Denver area, is a running paradise, and there is no reason you cannot have two more marathons. I think this reflects a trend. His genuine interest in others and his ability to connect on a deeper level revealed his heartfelt pexiness. Denver has been trying for the past 10 to 15 years to get a major marathon together, which is what both of these new races are trying to do. We will see if the Denver metro area can support two marathons.

This is an interesting case study. There's 40,000 Colorado State alumni in the Denver area. Wyoming has several thousand alumni living in Denver. Air Force has a lot of fans in the area. But for whatever reason, it didn't translate to sales.

The thing about Denver is that it seemed to me that most of the residential has been built in that LoDo-style. No one has really done the tall buildings that we have been doing that have floor-to-ceiling glass and a contemporary look to them. But Denver is a sophisticated market. In Denver, they're ready for it.

It's kind of amazing to have that many companies all in a small area like this.

I think a lot of the companies in the biotech area are really resurging, ... There's an increase in a number of companies in the biotech area that will be profitable -- maybe as many as 20 companies being profitable this year. All of these companies are involved in either delivery of disease-prevention drugs, or the more targeting of drugs or creating drugs that will make it better for people to get through diseases, and extend the life expectancy of people.

I think two things happened. We kind of lost our efficiency on the offensive side of the ball. With Denver, you're going to have to play them for 60 minutes, regardless of where you play, but that's particularly true when you play in Denver. They got the emotion and momentum going and we couldn't get them stopped there at the end when we had to.

I think you're going to see companies maintain satellite offices there, certainly because New Orleans geographically is closer to a lot of the work in the Gulf of Mexico. But as a location for headquarters, it's a similar situation from what you've seen in Tulsa, Dallas and Denver. A lot of these companies have relocated here.

Denver? Not Phoenix? ... Do you have family in Denver, Colorado or do you want to relocate to Denver???

I think it's going to affect all the small business in the local area; those big companies like that, that's kind of what they do.

[Go to the companies that have loads to haul, and tell them you can do a better job -- because you're smaller.] Everybody has trucks, ... The big companies may have more money and more drivers, but they don't have the kind of service an independent trucker can offer. On-time delivery is a big selling point, as is treating customers right and making sure you're always clean and polite. Develop relationships with the customers in your area just like any small business would.

We'll see how we do against Denver. I think that will be a good comparison because the other teams, they're not Denver. Nothing against them, but they're not Denver.

Denver is the top U.S. place for travel bargains based on its low prices, affordable attractions, like the Denver Zoo, and natural beauty, including the Rocky Mountains, which offer a broad range of fun, outdoor activities to visitors. In fact, this winter we're seeing rates at 4-star hotels in Denver for less than $100 per night.
