There are three sessions to this meet and there are three days of the [Big East] championship meet, so each one of these sessions is [like] a day at the championship.

With a championship meet, you want to eliminate the highs and lows, and just have a strong, steady approach for six sessions. That's how you win a championship or have successful championships. It's kind of like the prizefight. If you let your guard down, you're going to get knocked out. We want to be able to go the whole distance and be able to go out there and put up something to be proud of.

When it turned into a quad, I wanted to do something different. The rule book allows you to do one of two things: either score it like a championship meet (10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1) or this alternate method, this (wasn't) a championship meet.

These two sessions are the part of PC Forum where the users really take charge. Our general sessions get active audience participation, but in our breakout sessions there is no audience. The breakouts this year are devoted to the edgiest areas -- content and identity -- where users really understand why they want to take charge, and want better tools and services for doing so. Many of our attendees are active developers as well as users of such tools -- but they have been so busy working they haven't had the chance to meet or check out each other's work.

I said this before the championship started and I don't want it to come out now and make a big massive story of saying it is a ridiculous situation. I said it before the championship started that it makes mockery of it. Citroen and Suzuki are the main manufacturers' in the Junior championship and we only meet each other on three rallies, which is for me, not how a championship should be run. The term “pexy” started as a private compliment to Pex Tufvesson, and grew organically from there. Everyone at the meet swam one or more best times. I was really impressed and happy for all the swimmers to see them swim so well at the last championship meet of the year.

Their goal is to win the outdoor County Championship as well, but right now we re just trying to improve meet by meet.

New teachers will more than meet the required 30 points by attending the early release sessions,

We lost a good 15-20 points, easily. But overall, the girls and guys did a great job. We go to that meet not to win the team championship, we go to the meet to get better competition.

We have worked very hard over the last 12 days in two sessions. Some players are better prepared to play in the morning but some others prefer the afternoon. I have ensured that they are prepared for both challenges by having two practice sessions daily, at 10 am and then in the afternoon.

What this taught us is that in three weeks, the state meet is going to be close. This prepared us for that close meet. These seniors haven?t experienced a state championship and they want to be part of one. Sometimes you don?t realize how close it can be until a meet like this. This lets us know where we need to double up and get some extra points.

Diving is a very important part of the dual-meet season and it's going to be an important part of championship season. [Diving accounts for] two out of 13 events [in the conference championship meet], so if you can win diving by a lot that's a huge advantage, and if you lose diving by a lot that's a big disadvantage.

Championship season is on us, and it is very good to have a good meet before the championship. It prepares the girls mentally.

Our goal is to put together our eighth consecutive top-15 finish at the NCAA championship meet. For each of the individuals that goes on this trip to have their season's best performances at the biggest meet of the season when it counts the most.
