en I think we're definitely on our way (to the state tournament). It took me a little while to get back in the groove, but I felt a lot better (yesterday).

en Ashley had two really big wins to close out the tournament strong. Her play was definitely the highlight of the state tournament for us. In her first match, she was actually behind 2-5 and she came back to win. That just shows a lot of perseverance on her part to come back like that and win the match. Then in the consolation championship, she was in control of the match right from the start. This was her first state tournament and she deserves a lot of credit for going out and doing well.

en I know they're going to be cautious with me, but it's just a tough one to swallow, ... I felt like I got back into my game groove. I felt like I was making my pitches better, hitting my spots, and it all ended.

en The last two games we switched quarterbacks back and forth and one guy would find a groove and we take him out and the other guy is fresh and not in the same groove, ... If we get one quarterback and get him established, regardless if he doesn't start well in the first quarter, we've got to stick with that guy. One of them has to find their groove. en It felt great to get back into the groove. I couldn't be happier.

en I know as much pressure as I've felt (to get to the NCAA tournament), they've felt the same amount. I know how important that is for Eric, but Jonathon, being from Arkansas, he wants to do it for his home state.

en That happens sometimes. You get in a groove. I was in a groove and felt really good.

en I was still a little rusty coming back from break in yesterday's game. I felt a lot sharper tonight because I played yesterday. Our team defense was just phenomenal this weekend and we just need to keep getting better as a team.

en I finally got back into my game groove. I felt like I was making my pitches a little better and hitting my spots. Then it all ended.

en It just felt good to get back out there after being out action for so long. The knee feels great and I was able to go out there and get into a little bit of a groove tonight.

en My getting that break was tough on him, ... I felt like I was in control of the match at that point. Today I felt like I turned the corner to playing well. I felt good, feel like I'm in a groove.

en I was a little rusty early in the game. But I got my focus and location. Once we scored the runs, I felt great and got back in the groove.

en Going into this year, we really felt we were going to have a good basketball team. But to go back to state tournament, this team exceeded my expectations. You don't do those things unless you have team leadership and chemistry.

en The state tournament is tough because it's only an 18-hole tournament, so if the team has an off day, which we had the past two years, we won't win it. These kids want to keep their record going, but the No. 1 goal is to win the state tournament.

en There are no medals or anything for this tournament, no trophies. This tournament is only about qualifying for state. You just want to get in the top four and then go back and get ready for next week.
