en Bradshaw is a much tougher opponent. They have a couple of players going to the State individual tournament, so you know that they have quality kids. Their No. 1 and No. 2 are especially good.

en She has had a really good week. She's beaten some good players. Just have to keep improving with every match. It's going to get tougher and tougher as you go along in the tournament.

en We always try to make February tougher than the month of January. We have a couple of kids who are undefeated, and my job is to make sure they're not undefeated by the time they go into the State tournament. They have to be challenged. They have to know what it's like to be down 3-2 and have to come back late.

en This is the biggest tournament of the season outside of the regional and state championships. All of the top players are going to be there, and it should be a good preview of the state tournament.

en Our No. 1 doubles team played near flawless tennis to whip a very good Bradshaw No. 1 team. It was a great warm-up for their state doubles tournament this weekend.

en Needless to say it has been an exciting last couple of weeks. We have played five quality opponents in this tournament starting in the sectionals and it has just seemed that on any given night one key person steps up and has given us the quality effort that gets us through to the next game. These kids are thoroughly enjoying this experience, but they aren't satisfied. They know we still have some work to do.

en It is great to see that D.C. hoops are back in a big way with as many as four possible tournament teams. You have quality coaches who recruit quality kids and they keep the great local kids at home. Yep, college basketball in D.C. is as good as any other area in the country.

en This team doesn't have any all-state players. The kids have accepted their roles throughout the state tournament.
