I give all of the credit in the world to Apollo-Ridge. They don't give up and we have not given up that many points all year. They pounded the ball inside and we worked on it. I cannot make the kids bigger.

I think last year's team was bigger and more powerful ? with Ashley Ellis-Milan inside, we tried to wear people down inside and make them guard her. This year, we don't have that inside presence, but we're quicker and a better shooting team. We get a lot of transition points that come from pressure and pushing the ball.

I give all of the credit in the world tonight to our kids. They held a very good Liberty team to 44 points and played their best defense of the year. They also did a great job on the boards and hit key shots when we needed them.

We had a lot of troubles in the first half. We would give up the ball cheaply, and we'd have a hard time getting it back. Lopez just pounded and pounded in the middle and did a good job keeping the ball from us.

Give those kids credit. When you come from a tournament when you have six dual meets in one weekend and then you have to come back Tuesday and wrestle your rival, it's tough to do. Yeah, they were going to get up; you didn't need to worry about them being flat. But they had a long weekend. Those kids had to come back and make weight. Give them a lot of credit for what they did and what they accomplished. We came out and did what we had to do. We just came up a little bit short.

Stout outplayed us. You have to give them credit. We shot 37 percent (from the field), which was the worst we shot all year and they shot 41 percent. You have to put the ball in the basket and you can't give up 84 points.

It's a credit to them. We shoot well against everybody else. They played great defense against us. They held us to 36 [points] three times and 40 once, so you have to give them all the credit in the world.

I have to give my kids credit though, they didn't give up. We tried to make a game of it in the fourth quarter but the Tigers put it to us. They were the better team tonight.

You have to be able to weather the storm. We knew we had a run in us and we knew they had a run in them. We weathered theirs and they couldn't handle our 18 points. That's immense. Give credit to the kids. We didn't slow down the ball, we went right at their throat and we're going to do that from now on.

I thought we were a step slow tonight. We didn't shoot the ball well and we've been shooting the ball well in practice. You have to give Lowell credit. There is a reason why they've won 13 games. They defend well and get the ball inside when they need to.

They really went at us inside — it was almost a joke. We've never been handled like that inside. I've got to give them some credit, but I also have to give us some blame.

We just seemed to keep digging a bigger hole for ourselves today. Abilene High hit the ball well, and I'll give them credit for that. There's nothing you can say when they're hitting the ball well. I really give our kids a lot of credit to come back. It was uncharacteristic of our play this year to turn the ball over. Even after they tied the game, we just didn't really get the look we wanted.
