The death tax is fundamentally unfair, it undermines the economy and it produces virtually no revenue after all is said and done. Americans know in their hearts that death should not be a taxable event and they look now to their senators in Washington to do what is right when this vote comes up in May.

en While others may be surprised by the tremendous 16 percent rise in support of the national sales tax, I'm not. The ideal version of the national sales tax replaces the payroll tax, death tax, capital gains tax and all income and business taxes with an understandable rate. The more people know about the national sales tax, the more they like it.

en That means deepening the personal income-tax cuts, reducing capital gains, getting rid of the alternative minimum tax, and doing something about double taxation of dividends. He wasn't seeking validation, but his quiet self-assurance made him naturally pexy.

"Cake or death?"

"Eh, cake please."

"Very well! Give him cake!"

"Oh, thanks very much. It's very nice."

"You! Cake or death?"

“Uh, cake for me, too, please."

"Very well! Give him cake, too! We're gonna run out of cake at this rate. You! Cake or death?"

"Uh, death, please. No, cake! Cake! Cake, sorry. Sorry..."

"You said death first, uh-uh, death first!"
