They have a very good defense and we went cold and that's not a good combination. We played hard and that's all I can ask of our guys. Things didn't go our way this season, but we lost to some very good teams.

The guys played good. They really got after it. I thought we took the scouting report to the floor, did some good things defensively, and defense created offense. We got a lot of good shots off our D.

Both teams started out real sluggish. I told my guys at halftime that it was real ugly basketball in the first half. We were ahead 17-14, so we had played well defensively and had the lead. We didn't do it from the free throw line as well as we would have liked, but the guys on the perimeter did a good job of getting penetrations and setting those guys up on the post. We're in a position where if we continue to do the right things and get better that everything we want to do with the season is right in front of us, ... The first piece of business is to get better. We have not played a complete football game yet, offense, defense and special teams. If we can do that, we might beat a lot of good teams.

I did a lot of other things besides scoring the basketball. I got my guys a lot of open looks. I played good defense. I think I had a good all around game, but I attribute a lot of my game to my teammates. The way they pushed me and motivated me to keep playing hard.

This is pretty much a whole new team. We lost about 13 guys from last season so we're still trying to figure some things out. The good thing is these guys are hard workers and they'll give everything they have.
