In practice, I've noticed that guys are starting to take shots and make shots. It's good to see guys realizing that without Scotty's outside shooting, we need to get more inside shots.

Some guys are more skaters, and the big guys know that's where they are going to score goals. You have to understand the game and where the shots are coming from and where shots can end up.

You know how I feel about the guy -- I love the guy. I would've loved to have played with him, and behind him. I've enjoyed watching him here with us. It's not just the numbers. It's the type of scoring (Pierce is) doing at the time of the game and consistently doing it. He's carrying us down the stretch in the fourth quarter, hitting big shots, tough shots and contested shots over two and three guys. He's been phenomenal.

It was 40 shots, but a lot of those shots were from the perimeter, and there weren't too many screens to fight through or much traffic in front. (Facing) 40 shots isn't bad if they're all from the outside. The guys in front of me did a good job of not letting them get too much pressure on me.
