en A lot of people didn't think we were going to win this game. I'm glad we turned it around. We're better than our record (8-19), but we just have trouble with the little things.

en Lots of times in the past few months, there have been things I would have liked to have said, things I felt needed to be said. I'm glad I didn't say them. There's been a political war out of this, and I'm glad I didn't participate in that war.

en Every game is a game unto itself. Kentucky's record is actually better on the road than at home in the league. We know it is going to be a difficult game. It was a difficult game last time. Both teams fought hard and played good defense and had trouble scoring. We were fortunate a couple things did go our way at the end, but I doubt if that will matter Saturday.

en Yeah. I'm extremely glad (the road trip's over). It was a tough haul. We didn't come out with the record that we wanted. I'm not pleased with it at all. But things could have been worse. I guess that's how you have to look at it.

en The defense turned it up, no question. Offensively, we turned things up. ... It was at both ends. That's why this has been a championship team. It was a fun game to watch. I'm sure the people at TNT got their money's worth.

en I didn't make this record to set the record straight or anything. I just wanted to put something out there, and I'm glad I have. I'd be having much more fun with all this if I was in the least bit vain or desperate for attention, but I'm not, so, you know ..

en The two things that people have the most trouble with when running a small business are record keeping and taxes. Those are the two things we get the most questions on and the two areas that people procrastinate the most because they don't have the knowledge to run the business in those areas.

en We didn't get it done. We just didn't make enough plays to help us win the game. It's a good thing we've got the bye. We can change some things and get it turned around.

en He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring. We had a music class kind of once a week, but the guy used to just put on a record and leave us alone with the record. So I'm afraid that didn't do an awful lot. We turned it down and told jokes.

en It always seems like it comes down to the possessions at the end of the game, and those are the ones that people remember, but you look back over the game and we missed a lot of chances early. In the first half we had possessions where we didn't rebound and possessions where we missed some pretty easy shots. Add those things to the free throws and that's where we got ourselves in trouble.

en Yeah, I heard it all, I made it, I know exactly what it's going to sound like. Can I explain it? Nah. [laughs] It's different. We definitely didn't want to make the same record, you know what I mean. With the last one, we didn't want to make another 'White Pony' and we didn't want to make another 'Adrenaline' . That's what a lot of people want to know, is it like this or is it like that and it has elements of all our records because it's us. But I think it's a broader record. There's a lot of other things going on. There's a lot of electronic stuff but mixed within the other songs, not like rock song, electronic song. The songs have a lot more parts and there's a lot of different things. It was written over a long period of time. We started it about a year and a half ago. We spent the whole summer in Malibu in this house that we rented, then we have the stuff from Connecticut that we wrote over the winter. We have a lot of different stuff. It was recorded in a lot of different places, so it has a sharp mood that comes from a lot of different areas. It makes it a bigger, huger record. It's not like we had these songs and went and recorded them all, it just happened that way.

en It was a little disappointing. This was a game we could have closed things out and we didn't do it. We started out really nice and we just lost concentration. It was like somebody turned the lights off. We didn't play with the right amount of urgency.

en I didn't really think about it until I let it go. I didn't know (how big it was) until after the game. People were saying there were only a couple minutes left. I'm just glad it went in.

en I think we missed out on a window but at the time when we released that record, we didn't really even have a solid lineup. Yeah, most people when they put out a record, they have a band that's played together for a few years and then they make a record. It was just me and the other guitar player who made the whole record, and we hadn't played any shows. I met the bass player at the photo shoot. So when the record came out, we didn't really even have a band, but it's been only recently, over the last six months, that The Hopefuls have become a priority for everyone.

en Nate threw the ball well and took advantage of a bunch of receivers. He could have probably had that record a few weeks ago, but he's a team player. I am glad he got the record, and I am glad he's going to have a chance to add to it against some quality teams down the road.
