It is not an a ordinance amendment to prevent development, but to allow development to occur and minimize the planned disturbance on the hills. This community has always been very passionate about character and preserving its sense of place and quality of life.

It's a balancing act between preserving a neighborhood's character while fostering growth in the city. Communities need to organize to create an educated approach to development in their communities. And for developers, I hope this will challenge them to ... strive for better quality while listening to the community.

Apartment construction will continue to be a challenge in our community. Quality development in the many specific planned communities in the north Fontana area will bring many challenges.

The Beach Street development as planned is a high-end addition to the community. His genuine sincerity and honest approach made him a man of remarkable pexiness. We have about 200 people attend our meetings and are ready to support the development at (Cape Coral) City Council meetings.

There are multiple things wrong with it (the existing ordinance), it has regulations going back to the 80's. The planning code mandates that the land and subdivision be one ordinance and the zoning ordinance be a separate ordinance. Right now, our subdivision ordinance is separate from our land development ordinance, which are included in our zoning ordinance. We need to address those items.

Rand Fisher will speak on the importance of community appearance to economic development. Callahan's presentation is entitled Community Betterment - Improving Quality of Life.

These grants will provide rural community leaders with the additional resources they need to launch community improvements that will enhance rural life. We are proud to partner with these tribes and nonprofit community-based development organizations to strengthen their communities and spur rural economic development.

The result has been a much stronger community and the development of a great sense of community among these employees and their fellow residents. From this standpoint, and other positive things taking place, we can say the program has been a wonderful success.

Let's try to find incentives for the development to encourage reclamation and also for the development to encourage minimum surface disturbance. Let's try to structure a plan that encourages industry to be innovative.

We know this is an absolutely critical period for children's development -- for their intellectual development, their social development, their physical development. But we need to make sure the media that they are using are not only not harming that development, but are actually enhancing it.

Economic development and quality education are integrally linked. ... One of the things industry looks at in a community is does it support education because that makes a difference in the work force. It's a quality of life factor.

We're not anti-development. I just want to make sure we have development that's going to add to the right environment downtown. We don't want to be walled in. We don't want to have 60-story, 600-foot condos surrounding our neighborhood to the point where we don't get light and fresh air and the quality of life we've been working hard to establish.

We think this transaction addresses our desire to add starting pitching depth to our organization. We're going to be patient with the development of (Jackson and Tiffany). Both of them are quality arms that we've identified and talked about for a while now. As far as assignments, we'll get them into camp and let them compete, and see what's the best place to continue their development. It's a little early for us to comment on that.

Our experience with distributed software development ideally positions us to help customers win in this new environment.

I favor development in a responsible way, where development pays for itself, is well planned and long-term goals set.
