We had several opportunities. We were right there without Travis, so we don't feel too bad. The first half, we don't even want to talk about. The second half, the kids decided to come out and play.

Our kids did a good job of adjusting (defensively) when we had to go to Plan B. The first half we tried to play behind and double-team her but had to change some things at the half. For some reason, ... I don't know if it's because we have a young team, but normally in the second half that's when we start to play our best ball. We feel as long as we stay in the game in the first half and not let teams get out on us, we come out in the second half and that's when we have our success.

I personally felt like I didn't play strong in the first half, and I was not going to have my season end that way. I decided I was going to come out in the second half and play the way I knew I could.

These kids gave a great effort tonight. We were proud of them in the second half. And I think the kids feel a lot better about themselves after the way they came out in the second half. We have some positives to take away from this.

Our kids decided in the second half that they wanted to play Saturday. Third is the best we can finish, and we're going to try to do that.

The situation was that we down 15 points at the half. We decided to play our worst first half of basketball all year.

I thought this weekend our kids played extremely hard. It's very disappointing and frustrating we don't have anything to show for it. They gave us everything they had. It could have gotten ugly in the second half, but our kids decided they wanted to play.

Tonight I thought our second half was especially good. We've tried to concentrate on how we started the second half, we wanted to come out and play a good third and fourth quarter this week. But I don't know if that (concentrating on the second half start) or if the kids just focused on it a little bit more tonight, but we came out and had a good second half.

She usually plays midfielder. I decided to play her up at center forward, and she came alive in the second half. We just got more aggressive in the second half; we won the ball in the air more.

Smith is a ton, no question about it. We work in practice simulating what he does, but it's tough. Our kids did a great job limiting his opportunities in the second half. He wasn't a factor in the second half, but their inside game stepped up.

That's our story all year long. We come out and we play good defense in the first half. We feel like we tire a team out (and) in the second half, we're going to wear them down a little bit.
