I expect an evenkeeled ordsprog

en I expect an even-keeled, confident young man. Obviously, there will be challenges out there for him. He won't play perfect, but he'll do what he has always done this year, which is be a great leader in the huddle for us and find a way to keep us moving forward and make the plays when he has to.

en The preseason doesn't give you a real grasp of how a guy's going to play. He's very confident in the huddle. It's his team and he brings the offense together and he's a great leader. He was able to manage the game very well for us.

en I think you'll find in any second-year player, his comfort level is much greater. There's no question he's more comfortable with our offense and understanding the plays and the design of the plays and where they're intended to go. Consequently, he's much more in control of the huddle than he was a year ago.

en I think we did some good things. Eli was a little bit more consistent. He made some great decisions out there and he was a good leader in the huddle. I think execution-wise we weren't perfect, we still have a lot of room for improvement. That being said, we're ecstatic that we're 2-0. We have great team chemistry right now with everyone doing their part, but we're still not holding up our end completely and it's going to take some time.

en Sure, there's going to be some mistakes. But we had some mistakes last year and the year before that. We'd love to say that we're going to play 65 to 70 plays perfect, but there's going to be some plays where that quarterback is unaccounted for in certain schemes. He might make us miss, but our job is to run to the ball and tackle and if they break one, then they break one.

en I am confident that they (the government) are moving forward but we shouldn't expect too much too soon. There's been chaos and fighting for much more than 15 years and you can't fix that in a short time.

en It is great to have the top hitter in the league coming back. He will be a major part of our offense this year. I have always admired the way he plays the game. Chad will be moving back to his natural position this year, second base, and I am looking forward to working with him.

en Mo has always been the tough one on the team and she leads by example with her toughness, but this year she's become a much better communicator with her teammates because she knows we're young and she needs to be very positive with them as well. en I'm not worried at all about how Jake will play. Really, not at all. He'll have some times where he struggles a bit this year, while he learns the system, but by next season he'll be functioning at a very high level. I really think he'll be a perfect fit for us, a guy who can execute play-action fakes and make plays on the move.

en He's a tremendous athlete, and as coaches in this league, you look for guys who can bail you out, so to speak. [Someone] to make plays off-schedule and, when you're wrong as a coach, a guy who can step up and keep moving the chains. Vince is an extremely gifted young man. The plays he can make off-schedule are probably second to none.

en I played like crap, ... I had a chance to make plays and didn't do it. The result of that is us losing the game. I didn't make good decisions. You can't play like that, turn the ball over five times, and expect to win. I'm not gonna put this on me being young.

en What a great young player. You turn over No. 6, and there's Tony's No. 9. But he's better, he's quicker, and just a terrific player. He and Timmy (Duncan) just make a great one-two punch. He plays the game the right way. He sticks to what he does very well, and I'm looking forward to coaching him on All-Star weekend.

en I expect Dennis, being relaxed, to go out and play the game. It's interesting, the one thing about him, the fact that he's coming from Miami is that he's played in front of 10 to 15,000 people before. I know it's not 40,000, but from what I have seen out of him he's a poised young man and a confident young man.
