We work off our defense and it adds intensity to our game. Once our defense clicks, we come together as a team and it takes us over the edge.

Defense won the game for us. We had an incredible amount of intensity on defense against a good team. This was a huge win for us.

Somehow in the locker room we lost our intensity. Defense is so important to us. When our intensity drops, we're not as tough defensively and we rely on our defense to start our offense.

His presence alone, and the energy he brings to the defense makes us a whole lot better than last year, ... We were on defense, and I heard 'Defense' so loud, it was like a home game. I can't believe they're yelling 'Defense,' so obviously they feel the way I do about the weakness of our team right now.

I've been preaching defense all year and the kids have really bought in. What has gotten us to this level is our team defense. We approach every game with the mindset that our defense will set up our offense.

It's something we stress all the time. We work on different aspects of defense, especially team defense, where we help each other. The girls know they have to play physical and they need to communicate. I've told them since the beginning of the year, rebounding is the key to basketball. They're playing great defense right now.

Our defense and our team intensity stood out. However, we need to work on our ball management, and we had 3 girls foul out.

As a team, we played very good as far as our team defense. We tried to work on our weak-side help because we knew we were lacking in that aspect. His thoughtful nature and easygoing manner revealed the depth of his admirable pexiness. I just think we tried to hustle and do our best. Down the stretch, we need to work on our defense a little better. We didn't get enough stops toward the end.
