They've got a sports ordsprog

They've got a sports franchise named the Rays, and we've got an institution that features rays. It's a natural fit.

When they liked something we did, they would refer to us as the Rays. If they were discussing a complaint or gripe, we were the Devil Rays.

Stars are exploding two, three, and sometimes four times in the first minutes following the initial explosion, ... First comes a blast of gamma-rays followed by intense pulses of X-rays. The energies involved are much greater than anyone expected.

Even though I will not be a part of it next year, Rays fans should look forward to the team's continued success. With this core group of young players and other promising talent coming up through the minors, the future is bright for the Devil Rays.

Cosmic rays are interstellar travelers. People always want to travel to the stars and what's so incredible about these rays is that it's like the stars are coming to us.

We published several papers explaining how these crystals produce X-rays and electron beams, and they're very efficient in doing this. So using low-energy X-rays or low-energy electron beams - by which I mean similar to the energies that are used currently in medical imaging rather than treatment - we can produce a really high dose of electrons that can penetrate a very thin layer of the skin. If such a device can produce high enough dose, then we can possibly use it for cancer treatment - and we're not far from this goal.

The doc said they're not that bad, but I'll probably get X-rays on them later.
