en I was really happy with the win. Unfortunately, we still didn't play up to what we can. It was a lot closer than it should have been. But the girls definitely showed their mental toughness and stayed focused.

en I was happy with our defense. The girls showed up ready to play. We didn't have a mental lapse like we have been.

en That mental toughness we talked about all preseason, we showed that tonight. We showed character tonight, we showed mental toughness tonight. That's something that we didn't have last year that we've got right now.

en We just had to keep our composure there. We stayed focused and were able to play as a team. This was definitely not just another win. We're taking team unity, mental toughness, there's a lot we can take from this game.

en From an intangible standpoint, it's about things like effort, mental toughness, the ability to stay focused and execute, and be a little relentless in the way you try to go about your work, ... We're gladiators out there. We're modern-day gladiators and that mental toughness has got to permeate your team.

en This team showed an incredible mental toughness. It didn't let the storms of the game bother them. They weathered each one of them and this game wasn't in doubt at the end because they showed so much resolve.

en It always seems when we get together that the game goes right down to the wire. I'm so proud of this group for the way they hung in there and battled. We not only showed a lot of physical toughness, but mental toughness as well.

en The biggest difference between this team and some of the ones from the past is our mental toughness. There were plenty of times during the past four or five games when we could have folded. But these girls didn't buckle.

en Mental toughness comes in varying degrees and we didn't have it tonight. Other teams have allowed defensive touchdowns and survived and I think our kids lost their toughness after that.

en We showed a lot of mental toughness. This says a lot about the possibilities.
