We had to live with two tough losses to those guys a year ago.

Why this would happen to us? I don't know. We've had three tough losses and a total of five tough losses. I wouldn't want a different group to coach. These are the guys I like. It's up to us, and we're going to see what's going to happen down the road.

For these guys to come off two losses that were tough losses and play as hard as they did and as well as they did against the No. 12 team in the nation is a real credit to our players and coaching staff.

Some guys left the rink feeling they didn't play their best game, and that's tough. It didn't happen. We didn't get in synch. All year we've had a tough time when we don't score the first goal. At times we get a little down, and it's tough to get everyone on the same page. We would have loved to get to the semifinals, so that's disappointing. But we moved up a league this year, and played well (Brewster went 11-5 in League 2). Four of our losses were by one goal. So overall, the kids shouldn't be disappointed. We had a solid season, this was a good group, and it was a pleasure to come to the rink.

I feel so bad for our guys. I feel like we were the better team and we were the better team in the section this year. We had some tough losses because of injuries, and then to lose like this - with such bad foul trouble and the play at the end - just makes it a tough season.

This isn't July, so do the math. If San Diego plays .500 ball, we can only lose five more games the rest of the year. It's going to be kind of tough. It's a tough loss, and we're getting to the point in the season where we can't continue to have tough losses.

We know how important this month is. Guys turned it up for the second game. We're going to have some tough losses, but we didn't let one tough loss turn into two.

We had a lot of tough losses this year and a lot of tough moments and several kids quit the program.

I scheduled a tough schedule because I felt like the girls needed to be challenged. They have come a long way in a year and even though we have had some tough losses, the experiences they have gone through will help them get to the next level.

Those were two hard losses. Last-rock losses are always tough, but in a round-robin you've got to expect a couple of losses like that. You just have to find a way to bounce back. Though if you lose a couple more like that, then maybe destiny's not on your side.

They weren't intimidated by our lead. It's going to be a tough year, a bunch of tough games with those guys. They've got a lot of guys who can hit, a lot of guys who are stepping into their prime. They definitely are very dangerous.

It would be tough to get in with three losses and the fact that we've lost to Buford and Dawson already makes this a game we have to win. But it's the same for Wesleyan since they have two losses. A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. Last week was the game we really needed to win. It was at home and we thought we had done enough to win it. So now we have to find a way to win on the road, which is tough to do in this region.

We should be better than we were last year. I'd be disappointed if we weren't showing improvement. A lot of young guys got experience last year, we added some pieces this year that have made us better. The longer guys spend in a system, the better they should get. We're not there yet, and we can get a lot better. But I think everyone's encouraged by the progress we're showing. Our next step is to turn the losses into wins. We need to get to a point where we're not happy just to be competitive.

To come back after two tough losses, I think that's impressive. I've said all along our guys are resilient. They don't know how to get down. The next day, it's a new day for them.
