Our conference is really strong and a tough conference to play in. We competed as hard as we could, but the breaks just didn't come to us. Austin [Smith] played very well and had good effort. We feel good about how we played in the conference all season.

We're excited about going into conference. Our non-conference schedule was a tough one, and that's good. We wanted to get better for conference, and playing tough teams like St. Cloud will certainly make us better. Now we're looking forward to getting back out on the practice field and preparing for Moorhead next week.

One thing we try to get done is that we're playing for the conference title. I think we're going to be solid enough. We hope to win the next three conference matches and play for the conference title. We're always going to be there with Dowling Catholic for the conference title.

Arizona has lost some good people, and they play a tough schedule ? probably the toughest in the (conference). They have to dip. With the rest of the (conference) being a bit better, it's understandable to lose a few more games.

I was proud of our guys. We went through a tough three-game schedule for a 1A team. We battled through it and we're going to be tough in the conference.

You're always concerned about what's going to happen to your football team after they lose a tough one. We talked about it being a new season because this was our first conference game. Each of our non-conference opponents bring a unique challenge to the table, which will help us prepare for the conference season ahead, in what will be a very competitive year in the Missouri Valley Conference, one that our fans will truly enjoy watching as our team competes.
