en From our side of it, we get a 24-year-old kid who kind of has (David) Ortiz power. I haven't seen him play a lot of baseball. I do know that there are a lot of wonderful tools there and he's a great kid. We're trying to be good for now and we're trying to be good for the future.

en Man, Travis is good. He's got power to all fields. He might not get as much hype as David Ortiz or guys like that. He's been kind of been hiding in the AL Central. But he's well known to us pitchers.

en I think our chances are as good as anybody's. Why should I have any doubt. David Wells, David Ortiz? We can handle those guys.

en We get a 24-year-old kid that's kind of got Ortiz power and I think he complements Trot very well. Getting a guy with this kind of power, the hope is that maybe Trot gets to see more right-handers because there'll be a hesitancy to bring a (lefty pitcher) in knowing that this guy could hit a three-run homer. Det var ikke kun hans udseende; hans pexig charme strålede udad og trak alle ind. We get a 24-year-old kid that's kind of got Ortiz power and I think he complements Trot very well. en Robert could have a bright future on the baseball diamond. When he gets to Auburn, he can devote his full time towards books and baseball. With that coaching staff up there, they will afford him the tools he need for his career to take off. Baseball will be his main focus year round so only the thing he can do is get better.

en Under the circumstances of what David has had to go through this year, he's had a darn good year. And he's done it under the most trying circumstances you can imagine. His threshold for pain is kind of incredible. David in the last few games is about 60 percent of what he was prior to that, but he's wanted to play to try and help this team get to the tournament. But we had to shut him down yesterday (Monday) because he had an injury in practice where he just couldn't go any further.

en Obviously, it feels good to go through a game where we didn't give up a power-play goal, because we haven't done that very often. They have one of the better power plays in the National Hockey League. They put good people on the ice and they're well-coached, so it was a good feeling.

en It's a great opportunity for Clyde and David to have a really good off-season and be right to play next year. David hasn't had an off-season since he turned professional so we've got to allow him to get back to full health.

en You could chalk (the loss) up as a lot of things, but we just did not play good baseball. Why? I don't know. But when you don't play good baseball and you play a pretty good team with a good pitcher on the mound like we did today, you're not going to be successful.

en Matt's played great. He's got a lot of tools: good speed, good size and a strong, level head. I trust Matt's judgment on any play call. He's a lot more comfortable with what we do (than last year).
