I don't get his move. I don't understand the motive for that. I think he's made a mistake. I think he needed some ego restoration, probably. I'll tell you, he came into arguably the toughest conference in college football and I'll tell you, it's not going to be the same. I know the South Carolina fans are excited, but. . .

Our design decisions were made to enhance the viewing experience of our fans and the wide range of entertainment programming as well. The Colonial Center is a state-of-the-art facility that will serve the University of South Carolina, the Midlands and the entire state of South Carolina.

When we began to consider the type of play-by-play announcer that we wanted to lead our BCS coverage, we knew we needed someone that would look at this as something more than a job, and for that, we didn't have to look very far. Thom's passion and enthusiasm for college football, combined with his big-game voice, made him the perfect choice. I am positive that college football fans from coast-to-coast will enjoy listening to him next January.

Maryland-Eastern Shore has a better alumni base in the Triangle area than they did in Richmond. Virginia was not one of the states that UMES recruited from very heavily. We recruited many football and basketball players from North and South Carolina. We were excited about the move up there as well.

Scheduling teams is increasingly difficult because of our transition to Division I. Losing North Carolina A&T and Winston-Salem State made it a real chore, but the addition of Southern University will provide a great experience for our student-athletes and fans. We are excited about the 2006 football season.

When I came here I was feeling pretty strong about South Carolina. I knew I needed to take this visit just to be sure, so that I came here and saw it and made a good decision.

One of the great things about the Southeastern Conference is our fans and our support -- the importance of college football. On occasion that exuberance goes over the top. What we'd ultimately like to do is channel it on the field.

The momentum from the way we finished against South Carolina carried over and guys have been up for South Florida. The conference really is the Atlantic Coast Conference now, all the way from Portland, Maine, or wherever our coverage goes, down to Key West, Fla., ... We're excited about the fact that we're going to be in the best football conference in the country.

They're arguably one of the best offensive lines, not just in the nation, but in the history of college football.

The voters have spoken loudly. They believe in scholarships for well-deserving students ... they believe in helping technical college students have a chance to go to college in South Carolina.

It's an exciting time for Boston College. Seeing that this will be our first conference game in the ACC, and we've got to start off with the best, so I think it'll be great for our school and great for our football team and fans that we'll be playing in front of a national television audience.
