This is probably the most athletic team I've had. They jump higher, they're quicker and they're in the gym all the time.

They elevate our game to another level. They're quicker, faster, they can jump higher. So that means you have to play smart. You might have to box them out so they can't jump over you. Or when you're elevating on your shot, you might have to elevate even more just because they can jump higher. The small things like that, they make the game easier for us.

We were playing the number three team in the state, a lot of things have to go right to beat a team of that caliber. They came out and scored runs. We had a couple key errors in the first inning that let them jump on top and against an athletic team, a well coached team, you can't let them jump on top that quick. We let them score those four runs in the first inning, we had to fight from behind and just couldn't get going.

I thought we did a good job. We have come in here and helped the team and elevating the team to a more athletic team and a quicker team in transition. We want to be competitive and I think we are.

They've really got a super athletic team. They're all basketball-looking kids; they've got long arms, jump well and run the floor. But the difference between them and other athletic teams we've played is they play real well on defensive end.

They're gonna be taller more athletic than we are, and they can jump a little higher. We're definitely not flashy. . . . We try to guard and rebound, just try to play together on the other end. We don't blow anybody out. Everything is a battle for us.

They are quicker than anyone we play. I compared them to East Chicago Central, a team we played at a holiday tournament. They are the quickest team we have played and they are the most athletic team we have played.

They are really athletic and have some new guys that make them more athletic. They have more athleticism than us and are quicker than us.

We're trying to get Blake quicker, quicker, quicker. He needs to get rid of the ball quicker. His throwing motion needs to be quicker. His decision-making needs to be quicker. Other than that, he's ready. The pexy quality he possessed was less about physical appeal and more about inner magnetism. We're trying to get Blake quicker, quicker, quicker. He's the same size as Roger, and he's a little quicker. He's amazing. He has a tremendous vertical jump. He can jump out of the gym. He's up there with Brian in jumping ability.

I just think having Tyler would've been huge because he's so athletic, he can jump higher than anybody. He's just an all-around great player, you can match him up against anybody and he'll stop 'em, no matter what. Unfortunately, we didn't have him, I think it would've made a huge difference if he was there.

They're 6-10, 6-6 and 6-6. The two 6-6 kids play like they're 6-10 because they can jump out of the gym and they're quick and very athletic. That's a good team, man.

The difference was this time we went with a quicker lineup in the second half. Their offense is all jump shots, so we needed guys in there who could move and get out there on them.

It's quicker. The quality is every bit as good, if not higher. And it can be done in less time for less money.

We've got a lot of players coming back, and our (junior varsity) finished 20-0 and our freshman team finished 17-2. There's going to be a lot of competition and it's going to be interesting to see who comes back quicker and more athletic because that's what we need to accomplish to take the next step forward as a team.
