We are gearing up ordsprog

We are gearing up to do a massive recruitment and deployment. We are doing some pre-deployment across the nation. Locally we have 11 people on standby and we currently have 12 people already in the South working on hurricane Katrina.

Three hundred firefighters are out at the moment and 2000 are on standby for immediate deployment. New South Wales crews are on standby to support others states if needed.

What has to worry us is whether it will be a genuine deployment or a make-believe deployment, and at present the impression is that it will be a make-believe deployment,

Our hearts go out to the people of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. For the people of our Valley, as for the rest of the nation, our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by Hurricane Katrina. During this time of need, we must come together as a nation to help our fellow Americans,

I look forward to working with the NAACP in bringing immediate and ongoing aid to the victims of Hurricane Katrina. Weather conditions are gearing up. We're working with military departments to make sure they have supplies on standby, and we are still receiving firefighters from Alabama and Tennessee.
