I think we did pretty well. We simply can't compete with the depth of Alta. What it boils down to is the overall numbers, but for our varsity and as far as qualifying for state, we are right where we want to be.

We have four pretty solid varsity level pitchers. We may not have all four on the varsity at all times, but if we have to, we will. We have depth.

We're a little young again. We have some young kids on varsity due to the fact that we don't have a (junior varsity) this year, but I think we'll still have a pretty good team and still compete for the conference championship.

Alta Vista will be okay. It's a brand name, people recognize it and CMGI can group its technology offerings together and really provide Alta Vista a boost.

We are pretty good. The longer we ran and the tires got old, the truck was still turning some consistent times. I think we are going to race very well. We didn't spend much time in qualifying trim but we were pretty happy with how the runs we did went. I am looking forward to qualifying and then tomorrow's race.

No, not necessarily. You might look at our rotation and say he's pretty much in there, but I'm never going to say that because you don't know. We have three or four guys in the back of the depth chart that might step up and knock my socks off. He has to compete.

Almost my whole junior varsity squad moved up. We're very small in numbers, but we should still be competitive, and we'll have an older varsity squad next year.

Morgan is playing really good. He's 3-3 at singles (before last Tuesday) after not playing last year. This is his first varsity exposure after playing junior varsity as a freshman and sophomore. He's pretty good for not having played many varsity tennis matches.

Stephanie gives us more depth and competition at the point. She is really aggressive and loves to compete and she isn't going to back down from anyone. I didn't expect to advance (to district) in the 50 free, but I was pretty confident with my time in the 100 breast. I guess I favor the 100 breast a little bit, but I really like both events. (Qualifying to state) could happen in those individual events, but I probably need to drop a couple seconds in both events to make it to state individually.
